It isn’t often that I break my typical Monday and Friday posting schedule, but I felt that this announcement warrants its own post. You may have noticed that advertisement with the discount code on the sidebar that I added yesterday night.
We’re working with Beadle & Grimm’s Pandemonium Warehouse to promote their new product, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Platinum Edition! Essentially it’s a top of the line box set that comes with everything you could possibly need to run the adventure Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.
When I say that the box has everything you need I mean it has everything.
- The entire Waterdeep: Dragon Heist module
- High-quality maps and battle maps
- A custom DM screen
- 22 Metal Miniatures (unpainted)
- Encounter cards that fit on the DM screen to show players the artwork and the DM the statblock
- Custom handouts and props
- 5 pre-generated characters
- Bonus encounters
- A code for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist on D&D Beyond
- And more because they’re still adding stuff!
You can check out the full write-up about what’s included on this page or this page (spoiler free version!) for more details.
Personally, I really love the idea of box sets for the adventure modules especially luxury style ones like this one! Hence why I’m promoting it.
They’re a great way to reduce prep time and really simplify the process for DMs. For players, these kinds of sets come with a ton of extras like the props and artwork to help visualize the game.
I love that they’ve broken the module down into separate books. The way that Waterdeep: Dragon Heist works is that there are 4 different possible paths to take in the adventure. It’s handy to be able to select the corresponding module rather than flipping through the book where a few chapters aren’t relevant to your story in the current play-through.
The box is listed at $500 plus shipping and ships in November, but you can preorder the limited stock they have now here. In addition to that, you can take $25 off your order when you use the code DSOLVERS25OFF !
If this sounds like something you or your group might be interested be sure to take a look. This is definitely something that is worth having the group pitch in for if this is up your alley!
